The ideal format for visiting Tusheti is a helicopter flight, an off-road tour, horseback riding, and its unique culture together with our team!
Small group – maximum attention to everyone.
Do you dare to try?
By the way, about the stars.
Within a radius of tens of kilometers — not a single light. Only the brightest sky of your life.
Four nights — four different Tusheti.
Every night is a new adventure, and every breakfast and dinner is accompanied by a view that will take your breath away.
A helicopter flight is the most spectacular way to reach Tusheti (one way).
Tour dates:
June 12–16, 16–20.
July 23–27, 27–31.
August 21–25, 25–29.
October 2–6, 6–10.
Arrival in Georgia, Tbilisi. Meeting with a guide. The adventure begins today. We are waiting for high mountains and mountain serpentines to one of the most difficult to reach regions of Georgia - Tusheti. Breathtaking panoramic views open up as we ascend. The first night is in a guesthouse.
A scenic walking route to Dartlo, one of the most beautiful villages in Tusheti, famous for its stone defensive towers. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Today we go on a horseback ride along the Makratela mountain range. It divides the region into two main parts: the Gomecare Valley (Gomecrio Alazani River) and the Pirikita Alazani Valley. This area is famous for its impressive landscapes, hiking trails and is located near the village of Dartlo. Overnight in a guesthouse.
Jeep transportation to the villages of Diklo and Senak. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Free time. Helicopter flight to Tbilisi. End of the tour.
The helicopter only seats 5 people. Places disappear faster than the helicopter takes off!
It is important to note that the mountain villages do not have electricity, but there are solar panels. Hot water is almost always available.
The toilet and shower are usually shared by the entire house, and all houses are heated by stoves.
We will have several hikes during the tour. On average, about 12 km each. Total elevation gain - about 1200 meters. This will be manageable for each of us!
You arrive in Tbilisi. It is convenient to arrive a day earlier. If your flight is early or the group arrives together, you will be met at the airport. From there we will go by jeep to Tusheti (about 6 hours drive).
Citizens of the EU, Australia, Canada, and Switzerland are allowed to enter Georgia without a visa for up to 60 days.
All meals along the route are included in the tour price. Every day we are prepared with new dishes of Georgian national cuisine.
All overnight stays are in guesthouses in the village of Omalo. Accommodation is for 2-3 people per room. Living conditions are quite basic, as these houses are 70 kilometers from civilization, but you will have hot water and electricity. Shower and toilet are shared. There is also a sauna.
It is recommended to purchase a Magti or Silknet SIM card — they work best in the mountains (coverage ~90%). Passport required at time of purchase. The guesthouse has electricity.
Changes are possible on the first and last days of the tour. The first day may be dedicated to a helicopter flight, and the return day to a jeep.
This is not just a tour, but a trip with elements of adventure. Depending on the weather conditions, the day of departure or return to Tbilisi may be postponed by 1-2 days. It is important to understand this and prepare for it. However, in return, you will be able to spend an extra day or two in amazing places. This happens extremely rarely, but we still recommend planning flights 1-2 days after the official end of the tour.
The flight from Tbilisi to Omala takes 25-30 minutes. The jeep journey takes 4-5 hours.
HELICOPTER AND PILOT. It is important to us that you are confident in the safety of your flight! And here is why you should worry
NO NEED! Our „bird“ is a brand new 2023 Airbus H125. Our pilots are true aces of their craft. And each of them has more than 4,000 flight hours. Our airline is GSAA certified. All pilots and helicopters are checked quarterly for compliance with requirements.
We will dedicate one of the days to horseback riding in Tusheti.
You will become participants of a real horseback ride along the most picturesque trails! Tusheti without a horse is like a sky without stars. We will mount local stallions and climb to a 3000-meter high mountain ridge, where a 360° panorama will open. Don't know how to ride? Don't worry! Our horses are calm and hardy, ideal for beginners. We will teach you the basics in 30 minutes, and if you dare, we will let you gallop along the mountain trails!
Complete immersion in the life of this wonderful mountain region. STARRY SKY. There is no electricity in Tusheti, only solar panels. No light pollution — just the endless starry sky in all its beauty! You won't see anything like this in big cities!
